The Mt Mercer Wind Farm is located approximately 30km south of Ballarat which is in one of the windiest regions of Victoria and close to existing electricity grid infrastructure.
Mt Mercer Wind Farm comprises 64 REpower wind turbines each with a rated capacity of 2.05 MW. The total capacity of the wind farm is 131.2MW with annual production of around 360,000 MWh of clean electricity per year.
This is equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 70,000 average Victorian households and result in a reduction of approximately 400,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
